No stranger to the campus eye, Dean says he is ‘not your typical candidate’

When you have the numbers of key student leaders and influential faculty members and administrators stored in your phone, it makes resolving conflict and implementing plans much easier.

At least, that's what Dusty Dean is counting on.

Dean, a junior English major from Huntingdon, wants to involve campus leaders even further if elected SGA President. He hopes to create Senate-at-Large seats for other governing student bodies, such as the Greek governing councils, the Black Student Association, and the International Student Association.

If he is not elected President, he will continue in his position as president of the Law Society and begin preparing for the LSAT.
He says he may also seek a position as a student defender for SGA.

The issues

• Would oppose the "experience clause" if campaigning periods were longer.
• Favors extending campaigning periods.
• Would be in favor of reforming campaign spending limits if SGA political parties become stronger.
• Opposes Constitution Test, saying that it "intimidates and ostracizes good SGA leaders."
